PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Femme Forward was an EU-funded project (2023–2024) focused on giving women the skills and confidence to start tech careers or launch their own start-ups. The project especially supported migrant and refugee women, helping them overcome barriers such as unrecognized qualifications and lack of access to training.
The training was delivered by a group of experienced social value training providers from several European countries.
Women could take part in two main programmes:
Future Tech Careers – helped women gain digital skills, prepare for the tech job market, and find employment. The programme focused on breaking entry barriers and opening doors into the tech industry.
Start-up Founders – supported women who wanted to build their own tech business. It covered key steps like finding a market need, creating a minimum viable product (MVP), and learning how to get funding from investors.
This project is a strong example how European cooperation can support women, including those with a migrant background, in gaining digital skills and accessing new opportunities.
