The Teens2Queens Competence Gap Detector is a new tool designed to find out which key life skills young female migrants already have and where more support is needed. It focuses on three vital areas: personal growth, active citizenship, and entrepreneurial thinking.
By combining an easy-to-use web-based questionnaire with in-depth interviews, the tool gives real insights into what young women know, how they feel, and what they need to build a strong, confident future. It also includes a clear Competence Gap Detector Guideline to help youth workers use the tool effectively.
The collected data helps shape the support programmes developed by the Teens2Queens project and, most importantly, gives migrant girls a voice. Their stories and experiences are at the centre, helping to show what school does not always teach, and where youth work can step in.
The findings will be shared in the European Teens2Queens Competence Gap Report, a publication that highlights key challenges and offers real solutions to improve integration and equality across Europe.
